Michael has three decades of experience working with large investment portfolios and securities. His prior experience includes 29 years at Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae structuring mortgage portfolios into securities. He has structured some of the largest securities transactions on record, and his lifetime transaction volume exceeds $100 billion. His background also includes four years at the National Association of Realtors and Prudential Home Mortgage.
Across the organizations Michael has served, he has started new departments and launched groundbreaking products. He was a founding member of a multi-billion-dollar department focused on portfolio transactions, launched a new department to solicit and onboard small-to-medium sized lenders and helped them achieve their affordable housing goals. He also negotiated and engineered credit risk sharing structures with mortgage investors saving millions in insurance costs, and founded a department responsible for data integrity and analysis on portfolio purchases.
Michael’s experience building organizations and launching products ensures a steady and deliberate growth trajectory for Ox Hill Companies. He is astute at collaborating across business disciplines and setting appropriate goals for the organization.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from West Virginia University with a specialization in banking and securities analysis and a minor in accounting.
